Hytale Adamantite Ore Location Guide: Zone 4 Route, Depth & Cave Tips

Where to find Adamantite in Hytale using extracted worldgen data. Learn the best zone, cave depth band, and volcanic cave route for farming Adamantite.

Adamantite Quick Summary

Best Farm Route

If you’ve made it to Zone 4 (Devastated Lands), you already know the overworld is brutal. The good news: Adamantite — the signature late-game metal of this region — rewards players who commit to exploring its volcanic cave systems rather than surface-skimming.

This guide uses spawn data pulled straight from Hytale’s game asset files to give you a route that actually works.

For the full ore database, try the Ore Locations Finder. For the complete ore guide cluster, see the Resource Locations hub.

Adamantite is a Zone 4-only ore. There’s no shortcut from earlier zones.

  • Region: Devastated Lands (Zone 4)
  • Source: Cave systems
  • Depth band: Y 25-160 (broad — cave coverage beats depth precision)
  • Best practical route: Large volcanic and magma-heavy cave networks

Game asset files identify one Adamantite placement in the current build:

  • Zone 4 default cave veins
    • Region: Devastated Lands
    • Source: Cave
    • Detail: Default veins (vein column height 25-160)

The band is intentionally wide. That means Adamantite isn’t clustered at one magic depth — it’s scattered throughout Zone 4’s cave column. The implication? Spend less time debating Y levels and more time finding cave systems worth running.

  1. Enter Zone 4 (Devastated Lands) and go underground
  2. Target large volcanic cave systems — the magma-heavy ones with multiple branches and vertical drops
  3. Use Y 25-160 as your operating window, not a fixed target
  4. Keep moving laterally through cave branches to maximize exposed wall coverage
  5. Slow down near magma-textured stone — that’s where Adamantite variants blend in

Why Volcanic Cave Loops Beat Everything Else

Section titled “Why Volcanic Cave Loops Beat Everything Else”

Surface exploration in the Devastated Lands is slow and dangerous without strong payoff for Adamantite. Cave systems give you far more ore-eligible rock faces per minute of travel. The bigger and more branching the cave, the better — you’re farming exposure, not just depth.

The game files contain multiple Adamantite block variants — stone, basalt, volcanic, shale/slate, and magma versions. In practice:

  • The magma variant has the most distinctive look; learn it first
  • Exposed cave walls are easier to scan than tight, winding tunnels — favor open chambers
  • Move deliberately through volcanic sections; rushing past magma stone is how you walk past the ore

Not sure what you’re looking at? Search for Adamantite in the Ore Locations Finder to preview all variant textures.

  • Searching in Zones 1-3: Not happening — Adamantite is Zone 4 only
  • Sticking to the surface: The ore is underground; the surface is just for navigation
  • Locking onto a single Y level: The extracted band is Y 25-160 — that’s almost the entire column
  • Rushing small caves: Dead-end tunnels waste your time; route through interconnected systems

What is the best level for Adamantite in Hytale?

Section titled “What is the best level for Adamantite in Hytale?”

The extracted band is Y 25-160 — wide enough that cave quality and route coverage matter far more than any specific depth. Focus on getting inside Zone 4’s largest cave systems.

No. It doesn’t appear in any of the Zones 1-3 extracted ore placements.

Yes, in the current game files Adamantite is a cave placement in Zone 4.

Spawn data on this page is extracted directly from Hytale’s game asset files — the same worldgen and block config files the game uses to generate the world.
